Sam Rae Music

Hi there! My name is Sam Rae, I teach piano and I am 27 years old.

I've been playing piano for almost 20 years and teaching for 10. I have taught dozens of students between the ages of 7-22 at beginner and intermediate levels. I completed 5 semesters at the University of Northern Colorado studying Music Education and will be finishing my degree at Metropolitan State University in Denver. My long-term goal is to be a music therapist some day!

Music has provided so much joy for me and I want nothing more than to share that joy with others. I have been told by many students and parents that they love learning from me because I keep lessons fun, engaging, and personalized for each individual. I spend my time outside of private lessons directing a high school percussion ensemble as well! Teaching is my favorite thing in the world, I've found it to be the most rewarding career that I've pursued!

I believe in building students up, not tearing them down. Positive reinforcement goes a long way so I offer that to my students as much as possible! My philosophy as a teacher is if my students feel safe, have fun, and learn even one thing every lesson than I have done my job correctly. :)

I would love to work with you and/or your family, please reach out if you're interested in working with me! I am in the Arvada area, I prefer students and parents coming to my house but I am more than willing to travel up to 15 miles to come to you. I also offer video lessons so if you're not in my area please feel free to reach out!
