What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We have an initial conversation to discuss student age, experience and goals. We then make a recommendation for placement with one of our 50 instructors and have a trial lesson to ensure a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Nearly 75% of our faculty members have an advanced degree in music (masters or above) and experience working with students of different ages, interests and abilities.

We also offer Tuition Assistance to provide equitable access to ALL members of our shared community.
NOTE: We start private lesson students nearly every week of the year - students beginning after the beginning of the semester get their tuition pro-rated for when they actually begin.
How did you get started teaching?
We have been providing lessons in Boulder for 10 years with our founder providing lessons in Boulder since 1999. Our vision is to provide students with developmentally-appropriate and EXCELLENT instruction.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, abilities and experience levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We provide monthly recitals during the school year, including performances at retirement communities as part of our outreach programming.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the teacher is:
-Qualified/experienced;
-Intereted in what YOU want to learn; and
-That you have a good rapport or "fit" with the instructor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
