About
I have a masters degree in music and I have been teaching/playing music for over half my life. My teaching style is relaxed and laid back while going at a pace that suits the student. Whatever kind of music you are into, I can facilitate.
I enjoy helping people create music, whether it be their own or someone elses. Nothing comes close to the elation that comes from watching someone succeed at their craft.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters of music degree from the University of Denver, judged competitions, and hold a Suzuki Association of Americas certification.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a set amount per month based on the duration of the lessons. For 30 minute lessons once a week, it is $100 a month, 45 minute lessons $150, 60 minute lessons $200.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in high school when I TA'd for a beginning guitar class. The teacher allowed me a lot of freedom in the class and I loved it.
My first real experience teaching was when the instructor left for a week and I had to teach the class by myself. From that moment on, I knew teaching was what I wanted to do.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of varying levels from absolute beginner to very advanced in a variety of styles. I have taught kids as young as 5 and adults as old as 77!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look at your teacher's credentials and how long they have been teaching. That will give you a good indication of who to hire.
