What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I compile any pertinent background info that we need to know including any previous experience, learning issues, personality details, etc. A trial lesson is possible .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years experience as public school band instructor. I also founded and directed a music school for over 20 years.
All of our teachers have music degrees and years of experience teaching
How did you get started teaching?
Masters in Music Education
I started teaching in the Public Schools
as well as private lessons
What types of students have you worked with?
Our teachers work with students of all ages
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have student recitals 2-3 times a year
The last one was at Meadow Ridge in Wilton and we invited the senior citizen community
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
For home lessons, make sure the teacher is reputable.
We do criminal checks on our teachers and are members of the Better Business Bureau
