Guitar, Mandolin, And Music Theory Lessons
About
Hello! I am offering mandolin, acoustic guitar, and music theory lessons in person in West Asheville as well as online via video chat. We can focus on repertoire, developing fluency in the language of a genre, improvisation, technique, etc. I do not have a specific method book that I work out of but rather like to adapt each lesson to the individual musician. I believe in the importance of ear training because it helps us develop a deeper connection with our instrument and absorb ideas from recordings and live music. I have plenty of resources and exercises to foster this approach to learning. Overall, the goal is to enjoy playing and exploring while still pushing ourselves to grow.
