My teaching approach:

I offer Guitar and Bass Lessons for all ages/levels/styles. This includes acoustic or electric guitar. Beginners are welcome. Each of my students receives a solid musical foundation consisting of instruction in the areas of technique and relaxation, music theory, ear training, melody, rhythm and reading chord signatures. I also focus on teaching the student music that is fun to play and that corresponds to the particular style that they are interested in, ranging from rock, metal, country or jazz music.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

During the introductory lesson, we discuss the student's goals and music preferences. I might have the student play me a piece that he/she is comfortable with. This gives me an idea of what the student has been working on. I also explain my teaching philosophy and methods. I then give the student an assignment based on their skill level.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

Lessons are one half hour. Each lesson is private and structured to meet the individual needs of each student.
