About
I strive to make learning fun and rewarding, as I relate each lesson to your musical interests and goals. Rather than just teaching you songs, I'll give you the tools to figure out any song you want by ear.
Currently, I gig with various bands playing several different styles of music: Top 40, R&B, Jazz, Gospel, Latin Music, etc. As a result, I find myself learning dozens of new songs every week, which has helped develop a great ear for melody, harmony and rhythm.
Whether you want to jam by yourself, start a band or become a gigging musician, I'll tailor our lessons to that.
I like organizing ideas and knowledge in a way that is easy to digest. Researching and gathering material for lessons allows me to learn new concepts, and keeps me practicing. As a bonus, I always learn something new from students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start by asking my students what their current goals are. Learning more about chords, music theory, figuring songs out by ear, improvising, etc.
Then I'll ask them what kind of music they like, so I can find song examples and exercises in that style.
Then we'll have a short jam session in order to assess the level of mastery of their instrument.
Based on these factors, we'll develop a plan and I'll prepare the appropriate material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taught both privately and at an academy, School of Rock, here in Orlando. I've had the chance to teach dozens of different students, and I've been able to adapt to different learning styles as well.
I graduated Valedictorian with a B.S. Degree in Music Production from Full Sail University in 2017. I've played guitar and studied music, with private instructors and on my own, for over 14 years.
