About
Guitar lessons for ages 8 and up learn basic dexterity excersises, chords, scales and music theory while having fun playing guitar.
I play mostly rock but my approach to teaching applies to any style. My focus is mostly on finger dexterity and independence on both hands while learning to relax the arms and body. My goal is to make YOU the best that you can be as a guitarist.
Teaching those who really want to learn and are passionate about guitar and music is what makes it enjoyable and rewarding.
I have taught guitar for over 8 years and some of my students have accomplished great domain over the instrument using my technique and continue to pursue their musical dreams.
I hope you can also benefit from my teachings.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with a warm up exercise to see if the student is a beginner or at an intermediate level. As a general rule I try to find out what their goals are and what they're looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken guitar classes since I was 12 years old but I'm self taught for the most part. I have learned through private teachers different styles and techniques but it's been through my students that I've learned the most.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer a first class for free then it's $20.00 for a 1 hour class thereafter.
How did you get started teaching?
When people heard my play they would often ask me if I was willing to teach them or their kids so I took the challenge and started teaching.
I love teaching and I'm very patient with my students.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students including law enforcement officers, soldiers, doctors, boys and girls as young as 5 year olds and kids with special needs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try a couple of them first to see which one clicks.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Its important that the student is motivated by their own progress and not by the teacher's own talent. Ask on how you can improve and let the teacher know what your goals are.
