What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work with the pedagogy that fits my new student. I incorporate music theory, musicianship and technique immediately. Learning to read music is a requirement. I also keep the lessons fun and upbeat to keep the students engaged. Every student is different- so no two lessons are a like.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in music performance. I am also a certified teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music. I also also certified with Ultimate Theory, James Hill Ukulele in the Classroom, Teaching Online with RCM and StringBabies. I am in the process of getting certified with Paul Rolland String Pedagogy and Music for Young Children.
