About this pro

Prior 3 years experience of boxing. Proficient in Bag drills, conditioning, sparring, mitt drills, and foot work. Know how to break down the basics very easily and will make it fun for almost anyone. Very patient instructor always up for a challenge.

Started teaching a year back at Northern Illinois University to my peers since my school had a boxing club.

Aspiring to be a personal trainer so I decided why not continue training after I move to florida.

What I enjoy about my work is the feeling I get when a student is incorporating the lessons taught to there everyday lives.

I've trained with Johnny before on boxing and general work outs. He has a lot of knowledge on form and knows how to keep you motivated. With his help I achieved my weight goal.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First we will go over the basics, with that it will be the proper stance, how to move, how to properly throw a punch and bring it back, hand placement and etc. We will also work on conditioning, so be prepared to sweat.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 3 years worth of boxing experience and I am currently on my way to becoming a certified personal trainer.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Price for lessons will always vary depending on the amount of time that I can fit into my schedule.

How did you get started teaching?

I gave lessons to my peers at my college for a year, and since I aspire to be a personal trainer I wanted to keep up with it.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with college students, grad students, high schoolers, and adults as well. Kids should be no problem.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One recent even I am fond is my smoker event, no record just good old fashioned one on one based off of pride.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Always look for an instructor that can show you a much better defense than offense, cuz giving a punch takes a lot more effort and energy than slipping a punch, always look for the counter.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about what is your purpose for getti g involved in the sport. Once you find your purpose always keep it in your mind, hold onto it and never forget it because at the end of the day that purpose is what will get you through even the toughest training.
