Nate T. says, "I hit it off with Adam the first time we talked on the phone. I had a kung fu school at the time and after a two hour convo I had invited and he agreed to come teach. About a week later he came in and began engaging with my students in a relaxed relatable manner that made everyone feel comfortable right away. I can count on one finger how many times this has happened where I immediately trusted and invited a guest instructor. As he began to teach it was easy to see both his skill and genuine passion for the arts. He carries a wide array of knowledge from a wide variety of traditional martial arts. I fell in love with his practical "real to life" self defense applications, weapons training and conditioning and even incorporated the material into my own training. He teaches hands on, step by step- fine tuning your technique and answering questions openly as he goes. You will get value from every single lesson and leave feeling confident, strong, and wanting more! Training with an instructor of his caliber is priceless. Don't waste your time! Train with Adam if you want authentic martial arts and immediate results. -Nate " Read more

Most people attend boxing classes 1 to 3 times per week, though this depends on your budget and schedule. For the best results, consider exercising at the gym or at home in between classes to build strength and endurance.

What should I wear to a boxing class?

Wear comfortable, lightweight clothing and shoes to a boxing class. Most people wear shorts and a T-shirt or tank top. Remember to bring a water bottle and small towel to hydrate and remove sweat during the workout.

What started out as an effort to learn some quick self-defense techniques has turned into an essential part of my mental and physical well-being. The self-confidence boost, stress relief, and continuous learning have all been great a great addition to my weekly routine over the past 4 years. The TBKM community is extremely friendly and a great place to start as a beginner or at any skill level.

What I was most impressed with is that Sensei Nikida-Kan is not only an expert in his craft, but he is a genuinely skilled and passionate teacher. Just because someone has decades of experience and they are an expert in their field, doesn't always mean they have the ability to teach a student. He is not afraid to correct movement so that we can truly learn form and control, but he does it in a way that is tactful and encouraging. He is patient, yet firm, and he takes the time to tailor the lesson plan to his student, based on his observations and discussions. His experience is vast. He really has taught all around the world and not only brings a wide variety of martial arts skills to the table to learn, he also exposes you to the Asian languages they were born from. I found my time with him fun and challenging and can't wait for my next lesson!
