Being a pupil of Dennis is a great experience. He is patient and makes the learning fun. Dennis often extends the length of your lessons so you can learn.

Dennis is the teacher you are looking for. He makes learning the guitar enjoyable. He understands how difficult it can be and takes it step by step, so you can take in an understanding of the guitar. I’m a late starter and was concerned about learning. Thanks to Rnnis, I now know I can continue to learn. If you are unsure about taking lessons, Dennis is your guy.

Be weary of this man. He took my money. Stopped showing up for the 12 lessons we agreed upon and he was paid for after only six lessons. He attempted to sell me a guitar that was not even close to what he said it was (i.e. attempted to take advantage of my inexperience). He did give the funds (and the guitar I traded him) back but not the money I spent repairing the guitar to make it functional again. I've attempted to contact him and he doesn't respond at all. I have him on video stating that it's ok to play sloppy guitar. Which is exactly what he teaches. You don't want to learn sloppy guitar. You will create bad habits in your muscle memory. Then you will not only have to break the bad habit but then relearn the correct methods. I would not recommend this man for lessons.

Dennis Hicks has taught me a great deal in 1 session of our time that's been absolutely the most positive most inspiring way of learning that had ever dreamed in playing. This man knows his work for anyone who is learning to play. Very patient and very skillful in helping you understand the guitar as well as your self confidence. Thank you for sending his #.
