So you're interested in studying the guitar? Well you've come to the right place! I've been teaching in the Clearwater, FL area since early 2000. You are welcome to come to my personal studio or if you prefer, I can come to your home.

I tailor my lessons to the needs of the student. I can help with just about any area of guitar playing and musical study, beginner through advanced. Whether you are looking to study rock of any kind, blues, classical, flamenco, jazz, fusion, funk or folk, I love them all and have studied and continue to study these varying guitar styles. In addition to guitar I instruct in mandolin, voice, electric bass guitar, ukulele and trumpet.

My students are encouraged to broaden their musical palette while working on the material they most want to learn. I strongly recommend some eventual theory, ear training and music reading study as well. Make no mistakes, this aspect of musical study is indeed work! But I promise you will reach your musical goals much more quickly in addition to being a more skilled and well-rounded musician. Not to mention that even modest study in these areas swing musical doors wide open that would otherwise remain tightly shut.

So whether you are starting at the very beginning in need of learning the basics or are an advanced student looking to hone your jazz improv skills, play a concert classical piece or add a bit of flamenco to your life, my door is always open. If you're seven years old or sixty years young, be assured that I will do everything I can so that you reach your musical goals and have fun along the way!

After almost 20 years of teaching the guitar and music I can honestly say that I still absolutely love it! Helping someone to reach their musical goals is sincerely gratifying in a way that few things are.
