How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at the same after school music program I attended since I was 9 nine years old, when I turned 18. I developed their curriculum and was there for 8 years full time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of students. From beginners to advance. Young and Old. I will customize a lesson plan for each individual to get the most out of the time the student has to practice. Especially in these time, world is moving at much faster pace, so with that in mind, I craft a lesson plan for the student to maxamize their time. Whether they have 30 minutes day or every other day, we'll figure it out together to see the student grow and especially, enjoy themselves.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a teacher, remember, you are the one who is hiring to help you improve in the area that you want. Whether its a style of music, make sure the teacher knows about the style. If its a technique, same thing. Getting to your goal in the shortest amount of time at the same time having fun and understanding the concept.
