What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If they are entirely new to music start with the basics such as long tones and scales and provide a warm up for them to practice on their own to build the muscle memory
If a novice at music then do a diagnostic of their abilities and move on from there
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Music education major as well as at least a decade of performing at different events for high school, middle school, and college

$20 per half hour
How did you get started teaching?
Started teaching when I was still an high school, I was a piano accompanist and would help my clients who were my friends with their solos, as well as teaching right out of high school in the marching band
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with high school and middle school students and some college level students
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Marching band potluck performance at my alma mater I helped the front ensemble for three weeks straight and was glad to see the performance, although not at the level it needs to be, it was good for the level of the group
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are open to new ideas and not stick to just what or how they know how to play, some students learn or advance differently then others
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should think through questions they could answer themselves at first. The goal is to help the student be able to sue the process on their own, my job is to guide and educate how
