About

I love helping students learn how to play instruments, from all of the band instruments to piano and guitar. I first find out exactly what goals the student has and work together to help them reach their goals.

I have 31 years experience teaching the band instruments, piano and violin. I have taught in Hobe Sound, FL, 25 years, Hanover, PA, 2 years and Loisville, KY, for 2 years.

I graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with my Masters in Church Music in 1998. In 1992 I graduated with a B.S. in Music Education from Pensacola Christian College and in 1993 I graduated from Hobe Sound Bible College with an A.A. in Bible.

In 2000 I started the Treasure Coast Summer Band Camp in Hobe Sound, FL, where I direct about 7 different band camps every summer.

I currently am employed full time at Northside Christian Academy where I direct 4th grade band, 5th grade band, and middle school bands. I also have the privilege of teaching about 20 private lesson students every week.

I am currently accepting new private lesson students. First lesson is free! I teach both in person and online lessons. With over 12 years experience teaching online, I have a lot of great methods to help students learn quickly.

I am comfortable with teaching students ages 5-99 from beginning through intermediate levels and advanced levels on brass.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy playing your instrument.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing my students succeed. It is rewarding to see students light up with excitement as they realize they are making progress and sounding better and better. I love hearing progress in my students and knowing that their patience and hard work has rewarded them with a beautiful sound. I also love to learn how parents as they are satisfied with their child's progress.

Mr. Bozones knowledge of music goes beyond just a music teacher. He is so in love with music, that he wants his students to have an appreciation for it as well, its not just about learning an instrument. He feeds his students with knowledge of music in a compassionate & patient way.

Frequently asked questions

I first find out what the student's musical background is and what their goals are.  I use a lot of affirmation as students learn.

I have a B.S. in music education and a Master's Degree in church music which gives me a background to help a variety of students.

I normally charge $35 per 30 minute lesson, $50 per 45 minute lesson and $65 per 60 minute lessons.

I enjoyed playing trombone so much in middle school, high school and college that I wanted to share the gift of music with others.

I have worked with a variety of students from ages 2-85.  I have taught several students with special needs.  I also taught a gentleman with alzheimers.

Recently I was teaching a young lady who had special needs.  When she made significant progress on her cornet, she radiated with a beaming smile.  It was rewarding to see her light up with satisfaction when she realized the good sound that she was making!

Try to find a teacher who affirms your progress, motivates you to practice and explains new concepts in a way that is easy to understand and apply.

Are they willing to put forth the time and effort to become a good musician?  Are you willing to keep playing and practicing even when you don't see a lot of immediate progress?
