About
I play acoustic guitar and can get anyone started on their journey to learn to play chords and develop and solid strumming rhythm technique. I will not be focusing on reading music, as I have only a basic knowledge of reading sheet music. We will, instead, focus on being able to get comfortable switching from chord to chord and playing with and for other people. I am patient and easy going and want to see your love for playing grow.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After establishing what the student is interested in learning we will learn a couple of basic chords and finger exercises so that the student can have some fun actually playing something together with me and on their own after the lesson. We will learn certain fundamentals of form and establish a basic working knowledge of the instrument itself.
My first priority is for the student to relate to music, and in this case guitar playing, as something they enjoy. Nurturing a love of music is generally the most essential element of learning an instrument.
