I inspire students to play guitar better than before (when a student is new to the instrument I help the student learn the basics). I find that guitar students quickly improve their playing due to lessons plus practice.
"Bee is a wonderful teacher. My twelve-year-old granddaughter loved going to her lessons of guitar and vocals. I would definitely highly recommend her."
— Betty Knight Wilson (Melbourne Beach, Florida)
Playing music is one of life's true joys. The better you become at it, the more joy — resulting in true creative satisfaction. And music is a stress-reducer, don't you know?
I teach both acoustics and electric guitar: which will you focus on? I help students to become comfortable playing for and with others, and I teach techniques so that students will play songs confidently and well and enjoy playing for an audience.
About your teacher: I'm a life-long Renaissance woman in The Arts. Here, I offer to teach you to play music fluently on guitar.
Upon the first lesson, I quickly, quietly assess the student's abilities and set upon a way for the student to play guitar better. During lessons, I guide the student to burnish their strengths as well as diminish any roadblocks from creating great music.
My music arrangement skills, highly-developed ear for music and my guitar skills, allow me to teach the student how to play the tunes they want to play — even on tunes I've never heard of before. I render arrrangements at the student's skill level and show students how to play it. Then the student goes out and plays the song for others.
Observing students play song arrangements that I have taught them brings me joy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Set up an initial hourly music session on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday; 2. Request you, the student, to please (A.) bring your instrument plus (B.) songs you play or songs you’d like to play [either PDFs on an iPad or on paper]; 3. I play along with the student during the first session while simultaneously assessing his or her skill level watching and listening intently. I take pertinent notes and write out instructions on what to practice during the week and make specific suggestions on what to set about to improve; 4. Look forward to the next session where we enjoy playing music with an eye to the next step.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Piano recitals as a child. Guitar lessons as an older child, and many performances. Musical groups ever since as a guitarist and vocalist.
