Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to take time during the first sessions to ask specific questions so I can learn exactly what the client is looking for. I also do a "screening" so I learn of any ailments or injuries to work around.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did my personal training certification in 2006 through WITS. I did my 200hr yoga certification in 2012 through yoga alliance. I owned and operated my own yoga studio and personal training business for almost 10years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on the client's location and whether the session is private or for a group.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started personal training to help inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle. Yoga came into the picture years later, while I was in search for a healthy and natural stress reliever.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from althletes, kids to elderly to handicapped.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think it's important that you feel comfortable with the trainer/instructor you choose. Teaching in a one on one situation is a very intimate experience, so I feel that it is important that you are able to relax and feel 100% comfortable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
health ailments, injuries, goals and commitment.
