Iam originally from puerto rico born and raised there, i have always had a passion for cooking and i started very young learning from my grandmother, my mother, and family members. I pursued my dream proffesionally once we relocated to florida anf turned 18. I went to culinary school and graduated and knew this is what i love to do and im so passionate about it. I have worked in many different places all specializing in all types of cuisines,cultured, and ethnicities. I have a keen eye for detail and that is one of the things im most passionate about is presentation, " we all eat with our eyes". Secondly flavor it is the most important, i strive to make every meal memorable and make u feel happy. My food is an explosion of flavors and candy for your eyes. Iam beyond exited to be able to train future chefs or home chefs, my patience, training background, and experience give me the tools i need to make you the best chef you can be!!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know them first and seeing how comfortable they are in the kitchen. Teaching kitchen talk, knife skills, and basic kitchen knowledge second. Third getting your hands dirty and showing,telling,and doing.

How did you get started teaching?
I love teaching and showing people the beautiful art of cooking. I feel accomplished when i teach someone something they never knew or never thought they could do, it fills my heart.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always look for someone who is passionate about what they do..cooking can just be a job. Make sure whoever you coose doesnt see this as just money, but choos someone who does it cause they love doing it...

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I dont think any question is stupid or needs to be thought through, if you have a question ask its that simple i would never get angry or frustrated because you dont know or you cant remember..NO QUESTION IS STUPID, NO MATTER HOW STUPID YOU THINK IT IS!!!
