About
LESSONS ARE ONLINE ONLY
I teach a 45 minute GUITAR LESSON for $40 per weekly lesson, two lessons in advance. I use ZOOM for our HD Video calls. Availability is EST time.
My new students usually have an idea of their goals and I listen to what they are looking to accomplish and together we create an effective practice routine that will get them to that level. A student that has the drive to play is something I can relate to because that was me when I got serious about the guitar as a teenager. And it's no different now, I enjoy watching my students improve!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I AM CURRENTLY ONLY TEACHING GUITAR LESSONS ONLINE
My students improve quickly because of the effective foundation I provide in my lessons. I teach musicianship along with technique. Each student is unique and I provide them with practical insight they wouldn't gain from instructional videos, or most teachers. I teach from my guitar, not a "method" book. I've applied many hours to my technique so I know what works and how to make lasting progress happen. That path is always relative to the work that the student puts into their practicing, along with their natural talent. A motivated student will improve quickly when provided with the most expedient way to get better with practice. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to over three decades of playing and teaching experience, during 2017 - 2020 I was attending UCF - with over 200 credit hours - and finishing my Music B.A. degree and English B.A. in Creative Writing. (As I was closing in on these degrees the Covid shut down the school - 03/2020 - I may continue with the Foreign Language and Piano proficiency requirements to finish my B.A. Degrees at some point but I'm fine for now.)

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Whether you want to learn more scales and modes, basic or advanced chord theory, finger-tapping or, as an advanced player, increase your vibrato feel, string bending, or increase your knowledge of theory, my lessons focus on YOU. My goal is to help you reach YOUR goals. I strive to teach very effective practice habits while watching my students improve their guitar skills and achieve their goals. So, if you are obsessed with guitar and already have the desire to practice every day, contact me, tell me about yourself and your goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
My background is in Rock, Blues, Metal and Classical along with a thorough background in music theory and string technique. I teach beginners - beginners are great! - intermediate and advanced guitarists. I have been playing for over 40 years and have had a variety of excellent teachers. I also have a solid foundation in Music Theory / Composition, which also builds better technique and strong Improvisation Skills. If this sounds good to you then feel free to get in touch so that we can begin.
