Love sharing my knowledge of the guitar and watching my students grow and get better and more efficient at playing the guitar. Gives me great pride in seeing my students progress. I've been learning and playing guitar for many many years. Now it is my turn to give back and help others learn this great instrument.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Determine their goals. Favorite music style. Teach them to read music and learn chords to be able to play most songs. Incorporate finger exercises to build strength, learn first position notes and open chords, simple scales and timing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30+ years of playing and recording in bands and duos. Of course I started with formal training and lessons from excellent guitar teachers in New York.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
125.00 per month with lessons one day each week of that month. Lessons 30, 45 and 60 minutes in duration. In the student’s home.
How did you get started teaching?
I am going to open my own studio with giving guitar lessons and hiring teachers for other instruments. I am still playing in a band but this is a natural progression to start teaching and giving back what I've learned over the years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have students from seven years old to 50 years old right now. I think seven would be the youngest I would teach. You're never too old to learn.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The teacher should be willing to go at the students peace. Teacher may be well knowledgeable and a super performer but he has to get the information to the students at their level of learning. The teacher should be able to keep the student motivated and there should be progress every week.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much will I need to practice? They should know their goals what they want to achieve.
