Nate Utley Guitar Lessons
About
With years of professional guitar experience and proven methods to get you playing the songs you love I will teach you practical skill sets to get you on your feet as a guitarist. I do not focus on music theory. Again, No Music Theory. I was self tought, so that is how I teach, through guitar tabs and chord progressions. I have been playing guitar for 17 years and have recorded a studio album, an EP and multiple singles all of which are professionally distributed online.
As a Guitarist and Vocalist I play professionally in the local community 4-5 times a week doing my solo act at breweries and restaurants.
Please bring your own guitar, but if need be I have one for you to use. It is better to have one though so you can practice and do your homework.
This is my website.

Cheers,
Nate
I love seeing others succeed. It is very rewarding to see the smiles on people's faces when they finally learn a song all the way through, or nail a guitar lead they have been practicing for weeks.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Asses the students skill level.
Create a plan of action with the students goal in mind.
1 month goal, 3 month goal, 1 year goal.
Start lessons tailored to that student.
Give homework or exercises to practice throughout the week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am aprofessional guitarist and vocalist that plays in the community. I also am a recording artist.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is 50/hr
If you refer another student you will get a discounted price of 45/hr
If you refer more than 1 student your rate will drop to 40/hr which is my lowest price.
I suggest students take one hour long lesson once a week and for the more advanced two separate hour long lessons twice a week.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with any age and any level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Research and find out if the teacher can actually play guitar well before choosing them. See if they play professionally and actually have the skills you are looking to gain. If they cannot do it, they cannot teach you how to do it.
