Yoga With Katie
About
Katie is so grateful to be able to teach something that she is so passionate about. To be able to guide people into a place of peace, a place of no judgments or expectations, and to watch them come alive in class with energy and strength is incredible. In her classes, she loves to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness, and provide an atmosphere that will allow students to challenge themselves as much as they would like to. Her hope is that you step off your mat feeling refreshed and balanced. Most importantly, she hopes you leave feeling stronger in all aspects...mind, body, and spirit. “Do what you love, love what you do”. – Namaste

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Asking questions about the new student. What made you want to try yoga, any health issues or injuries I should know about.
Showing and coaching lots of options. Letting them know at anytime they can stop and join back in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Katie has a background in Group Fitness. She taught Group Fitness at the same gym for 12 years. That gave her experience in Yoga Flow, Vinyasa yoga, Chair Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Meditation, Senior Cardio Fitness and Core Strengthening.Yoga has been a part of Katie’s life for 13 years now. She has her RYT200 in Hatha Yoga. Her practice has helped her grow stronger, flexible & fearless! Yoga inspires her to live each moment mindfully and to be gentler with herself and her surroundings. She loves teaching outdoors in nature and on or by the water because there is nothing like Water Therapy.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Meeting a young college guy from Venezuela who was visiting for a kite boarding competition but the wind was not strong enough so he showed up for my yoga class at the hotel he was staying at. He was very open to do whatever and was very playful and took direction very well. It was a fun class even though he was the only one who showed up! We had a great conversation at the end of our practice. I was thrilled!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try going to as many different teachers classes to see what you like and what teacher you connect with the best. Make sure they are mindful about keeping you safe.
