Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It depends on what they want to learn and how advanced they are or if they've ever played or not or if they're wanting to work on playing lead guitar pentatonic scale's understanding theory and what is their actual goal. are they wanting to try for a record deal or to play around town all of these things matter and how you approach an individual student Is to understand where they are at this point and to help them Reach their objectives.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar and writing songs since I was 13 I was the vocal and mix engineer at William B Tanner company in Memphis for almost 8 years and ran the vocal group I move to Nashville in 1992 where I was recording engineer and eventually open my own mastering company while writing songs on a daily basis and pitching songs for myself and other people including Jason Blume. I have pitched artist labels I have put songs to labels at one point I had 2000 clients on music Row I feel like teaching people how to play you have to have a fundamental understanding of theory so that you understand it's not as complicated as some people think it's just like looking at this huge board and go and I'm overwhelmed but when you explained it that one line is exactly like the other 24 lines it starts to make more sense
