About

Al Fuller fills a room with music and verse as a single performer. He also performs as a trio with Jimmie Fadden of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band fame, and bassman Burt Englesman. In addition there is the Al Fuller Band, which includes Burt Englesman on bass and Rich MacDonald on drums.

Al Fuller has taught thousands of students to play guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonica since he moved to Sarasota over 15 years ago. His skills at teaching led Fogts Music to offer him a teaching position that he has held since he came to the area in 1996. Al grew up in Western Massachusetts, graduated from Holyoke Community College with an Associates degree in Music, then went on to study at University of Massachusetts, where he minored in Music, majored in English, and graduated with a degree in English. This gave Al a strong background in music theory. Al taught guitar at Holyoke Community College before moving to this area. He has played for troops in Viet Nam, in concerts clubs and festivals all over the U.S., performed in England, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, and Australia.
