David Muñoz began his musical studies in Chicago at the age of 17 under the instruction of renowned classical guitarist Norman Ruiz. After pursuing a degree in art in, Sarasota Florida in early the 90's, he returned to Chicago and to the study of music in his late 20’s, where he studied with flamenco guitarist Hector Fernandez at The Old Town School of Folk Music.

David now resides in Sarasota, Florida where he plays professionally throughout the Suncoast area. He is the founding member of several popular World-Music duos, and is the guitarist for local flamenco dance ensemble, Flamenco SRQ Entertainment.
