About
In this day and age you don't have to leave the comfort of your home to learn guitar and neither do I. I teach via the internet with Skype. All you need is a computer and a web cam. I started out playing Trombone in 5th grade and I was first chair all through Jr. High and High School. I also played Trombone in the Jazz band in college. I started playing guitar at age 19 and have been hooked ever since. I love Acoustic Guitar and songwriting. In 1994 I moved to Nashville, TN with my band Nouveaux and we signed with Benson Records and toured the country for 6 years opening for bands like: Jars Of Clay, Newsboys, Micheal Sweet, Audio Adrenaline. I co-wrote both of our records and we had two number one CCM singles as well as four top ten singles on CCM radio. While I was in Nashville I gave guitar lessons and even taught Wynona Judd's kids for two years. I also sing and I play solo at local restaurants, country clubs and private parties. I love getting people of all ages excited about music, learning songs, and learning how to write songs! Learning to play guitar takes time and patience and long term goals are essential.

I find out where they are at in terms of their playing level.
I find out what type of music they enjoy and want to learn how to play and cater their lessons based on that. If they like rock I teach rock, if they like country I teach country....etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a minor in music and I have taken guitar and voice lessons at the college level. I know music theory as it relates to scales and chords and chord progressions. I can teach songwriting and recording as well.
