Sandi the Music Instructor

Sandi is a drummer, educator, guitarist and songwriter that has resided in the Tampa Bay area for over 20 years. She holds an Associate Degree in Music Production from St. Petersburg College, with honors (2024). Sandi is endorsed by Aquarian Drumheads and is a member of Dream Cymbals Educator Collective (DEC) and The Percussive Arts Society (PASIC). Toured the Southeast region of the US and recorded with several Tampa Bay luminary bands and drums and records in her own Jazz Funk Fusion trio, Not From Here, since in 2006.

Drums & Percussion: Sandi offers music instruction for all facets of drums and percussion including all genres from beginner through advanced.

Specifically: Reading/ notating rhythms, chords and melodies, snare drum technique (orchestral, marching band, rudimentary), drum set, mallets, world drums & rhythms (African, South American, Cuban).

Guitars, Bass, Ukulele: Sandi offers music instruction for all facets of acoustic/ electric stringed instruments including all genres from beginner to advanced.

Specifically: Reading/ notating rhythms, chords and melodies, fretting and strumming techniques preparing student for advanced concentrated studies (jazz, classical etc).

Songwriting, Piano, Composition, Music Theory & Vocal Training: Sandi offers specialized training on these topics from beginner to advanced.

Music Production: Recording, editing and mixing techniques for studio (pro tools, logic pro & garage band). Sound treatment and gear consultation (all instruments). Live sound set up and mixing.
