Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on their experience and knowledge with the instrument, usually I start with teaching how to identify each string. Then, tuning the guitar. From there, we would move on to basic chord progression. After student has established the correct positioning and can play holds comfortably, we will move on to scales. The there is a technical side to the application, effects, ect...
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a rhythm and lead guitarist in the Tampa Bay Area for 27 years. I have taken lessons from top notch guitar players in the music industry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on what you can afford, we can negotiate price. I really want to help your kids secure our future and make this world a better place!
How did you get started teaching?
The first lesson I taught was to a student who was struggling with his family environment. He seemed upset for some reasons unknown to me. His mother told me that she was going through a divorce and that it could help him. I taught him for a couple months. After we finished the lessons, his mother thanked me. I saw her a few years later in a church h and he seemed to be doing well so I believe the influence to music helped him.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who cares about your goals in music and not for a financial gain.
