What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We offer a discounted package of four 30-minute lessons for new students. We believe it takes more than one lesson to really see if the teacher and student are going to mesh well. In the initial contact, we ascertain the student/parents goals and then recommend the best teacher for that student.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Each of our teachers have degrees in music and/or extensive training and performance experience. Each teacher specializes in something different so the education and training varies. Rest assured that we are all experts in our fields. This is important even for teaching the youngest students. A proper foundation is key to being successful at your instrument which means you'll enjoy it!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Our lessons are $29 for 30-minute lessons which includes materials (books, folder, etc.). We also offer group lessons which are $65/month and also includes materials. Our new-student package is $95 for four 30-minute lessons.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

When you are looking for a music teacher, you should be asked about you/your child's music experience and what you have in mind for goals. Music lessons are not one-size-fits-all so be sure to speak up about what exactly you picture the lessons will accomplish. If your contractor doesn't ask, you will get their standard lessons instead of something tailored to your needs and goals.
