Daryl's professional career has provide him with a wealth of experience and knowledge of many playing styles. He is a great mentor and is very patient!
Daryl was my guitar teacher for nine years. So, I got to know him pretty well. He is patient, encouraging, and skilled. He has been like family to me, and has helped me hone a craft that I can appreciate the rest of my life.
Daryl’s technical knowledge is very advanced and his playing skills are what one expects of a pro. He is flexible to whatever style of playing guitar is needed and a good overall teacher. He has been my teacher for a year.
He is patient with me, and he is very good about breaking down the lessons for me. Even when I ask him about a song I want to play, he quickly finds it on Spotify and is able to show me how to play parts within minutes. Daryl is a very good musician and he is able to describe and show various parts of a song for both the right hand strumming and the left hand fretting. Daryl is also has excellent knowledge of music theory and incorporates it into our lessons.
I like to find out what the student's individual goals are. Everybody is different and everybody has a different reason for wanting to play an instrument. It's my job to help you discover that and then provide a way that I can help you reach your goals.
I've been a professional musician for over 30 years and a teacher for over 15. Although I do not have a degree in music (my degree is actually in Graphic Design), I took all the music classes I could, studied privately, and have been actively involved in playing music almost all of my life. I treat music as a continuous learning experience and have made my living at it for the last 30 years.
I am offering a special lessons.com rate of $50/hour.
A owner of a local music store actually talked me into trying it out. I told him I'd give it a shot and started teaching on Saturday's. I soon was able to fill up the entire week and soon after was teaching upwards of 40 students/week.
All types. Young, old, experienced, inexperienced, blind, autistic, shy, outgoing etc... Everyone. If you want to give it a shot, I am happy to help you.
I love coaching students in a band setting and having them perform.
Hire someone that seems to share your vision and don't hire the cheapest one. As with most things, you get what you pay for.
