Grounded Guitar
About
At Grounded Guitar we strive to cover as many genres and techniques as possible. We listen to our students and the direction that they want to go with their instrument and create an action plan for success. At Grounded Guitar we also have the capabilities of tracking and recording as well as video editing to create media content to share with friends and family. Check out Grounded Guitar on YouTube for examples or groundedguitar.com for more.
Grounded Guitar was founded on the same reason someone picks up a guitar, PASSION. Guitar has been an everyday joy of my life since I was 15 and love I sharing that joy with others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step in the process is listening to the student, what they love musically, who their favorite players are, what inspired them to pick up the guitar. From there create a focused lesson plan taylored to their learning style so that production is produced.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Personally I have played guitar since I was 15 years old. I was grounded one summer (hence Grounded Guitar)and discovered an old guitar that my mom had stored away. Ever since I was hooked. I have recorded with members of Red Carpet Mascarade and been involved with guitar teaching, sales and all things guitar my whole life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Please reach out for pricing as we have new student discounts as well as bundle and buddy packages available.
How did you get started teaching?
I left my big bank job to get into teaching full time. For me personally I needed something more fulfilling with a purpose behind it, something I truly believed in.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students, from children to older folks. I am very easy to work with and adapt easily to any individual, young or old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I am fond of would be my recent 5 year anniversary to my wife (have to put that right?)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Talk to the teacher and see if they understand the direction you want to go. Make sure they are well versed in the style of music that you love to keep lessons interesting for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The number one and only question a student should ask themselves is-Am I ready to be committed? Playing guitar is so fun and rewarding but you have to stick with it. It's not always fun especially at first as it can be very frustrating. But don't fret you are trying to get your fingers and brain to do something it's never done before. With commitment, passion and practice you will get to where you want to be, no questions asked.
