How did you get started teaching?
When I was 14 I was attening Rock and Blues Academy studying under Mr. Dave Shepard and he started a stuent-teacher program that met every friday to learn different techniques in teaching and understanding different styles of learning.
From there I taught at RnB Academy until the end of highschool when I also taught at Music Factory.
In college I taught at both Rockatar and Don Banks Music, after graudating I wanted to embark on my own adventure and I opened up my own studio as Kammerer Music!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds, from very young children to older children (adults teehee!)
My goal in teaching is to inspire passion and let the next generation embark on their music journey.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that fits YOU!
I have been so discouraged in the past from a teacher that didn't speak my language in learning. Don't be afraid to keep looking for a good match. Most importnatly find a teacher that inspires you to pursue what you want to do!
