My teaching approach:

I use a open and fun approach to my lessons. All material is geared to playing and understanding the concepts of music. I started teaching in New Jersey where I worked at many local music stores where I taught between 15-40 students weekly. Moving to Florida, I have taught guitar at the Musicians Exchang in Ft Lauderdale and Mars Music in Tampa and The Players School , the Calvery Baptist Church and the Sam Ash Music School in Clearwater. I also have maintained many private guitar and music students thru the years.

Open for guitar lessons Monday thru Friday, late mornings till early evenings.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

First lessons for beginners starts with learning the various parts and components of the guitar. Finding out the students goals and time permits, learning the numbering system for both hands and a basic finger exercise placing all four fingers of the left hand on the first through the fourth frets starting on the first thru all six strings. As the student plucks each note with a plectrum ( pick ) trying to achieve a clear sustained tone .

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

Learning how to tune ones guitar and exercises to build dexterity in both hands. Learning to read guitar music tablature and note reading speeds up the process of learning. I prefer to keep my lessons challenging yet fun and gear all learning techniques to hands on playing on all levels.
