Tampa Guitar Lessons

Thomas Coffey is the Director of Education for The Tampa Bay Area Guitar Society and a former University of South Florida Professor of Guitar who now offers private guitar lessons exclusively. He currently has over twenty-nine years experience teaching Classical and Acoustic Guitar privately and at the University level.

His students have won prizes in many international guitar competitions including the highly competitive Guitar Foundation of America and Christopher Parkening Competitions and have been accepted to and graduated from such renowned Classical Guitar Universities as The Berklee School of Music, Florida State University, The University of Southern California, and The Julliard School of Music.

Lessons include instruction in reading and interpreting music, music theory, the latest and most efficient guitar techniques, and developing repertoire according to the individual student's wants and needs.
