About
I have been practicing Yoga and Meditation on myself for 15 years, and now finally have decided to share my skills, knowledge, and Practice that have transformed my health and hoping it will do the same for others. I meet each student where they are at, keeping in mind that our bodies are different and therefore special attention to each of my students is what will make both of us achieve our goals. I prefer one-on-one Personal Yoga teaching for this reason, or small group of up to 4 persons.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and got my 200hr Certificate in 2011 from Discovery Yoga in St Augustine, FL.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find that is better to listen to the student to tell a story and have the opportunity to ask follow-up questions than to have them fill out a form. I find the form not personable, only after I can have an Intake form with their body history, past injuries or surgeries, type of exercise they do at present and in the past, current discomforts or injuries, diagnoses, if they pregnant or not, I ask questions that tell me about their lifestyle, And questions that tells me what they need from their practice. I look at 4 elements which are Physical Support, Physical Challenge, Emotional Support and Emotional Challenge, Where are they emotionally, physically, if they have done Yoga before? What they liked and what they didn't like? Then try out some postures to see the flow, and what poses I can use to transition and their alignment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started teaching?
I started by having friends meet-up and we will practice together, then started offering to teach at community centers and Open Park for anyone to join for free. After that, I started customizing Yoga with Massage for my Massage clients and they loved it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages from 18 to 82 years old. Female and male.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I talk about this on my Youtube video; It was when I visited Botswana and went to a nearby Health Club to workout, and wanted to know if they offered Yoga and they said NO! so I thought since I was visiting for few weeks, I will offer to do Yoga for their members free of charge, and to my surprise so many had not done Yoga or knew what it was. So I felt it was a privilege to give some lessons and ask them to join me for their first-ever Yoga practice. Here is the link;

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to look for a Yoga Teacher with these qualities; Hire a teacher who has the ability to guide students safely - Safety first. Ability to connect, Has good energy, presence, and personality. A teacher with good listening skills, and can teach modifications for all levels, appropriate adjustments and alignment and using clear instructions mainly to avoid injuries, but also to allow a smooth flow of the practice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The students should think of what type of Yoga they want to learn, how long the class or lesson? Are they comfortable with practicing in a group or private, with a male or a female teacher?
The level of experience the teacher has. Ability to communicate efficiently.
The level of confidence and knowledge the teacher has
The ethics and morals of the teacher and practices within their scope.
Ability to keep information private and confidential.
