About

Been working in the industry for a long time......

I know how to read music, music theory, I am not a big fan of guitar tab. How can you tell how many beats are in a measure with guitar tab ????

Funny as a test I went into this site as student looking for guitar lessons. Well I could not get any responses as far as schooling goes, or if they can read music. Too me since I have owned my own school for over 10 years. My teachers who worked for me had to be able to read music. So I am the real deal. If you want so so then go go........ I love to teach for serious students even if you do not want to be a rock star thats ok. Just wanting to learn is pricless...

Coming from a family of pfofessionals that is how I am. You get it all from learning to read to understanding why.

I do have my own band and write for TV and Film and other aritsts. I have been doing this work for well as it says below this............

For 25 plus years and love teaching to those who want to learn and take it seriously!!

My motto alway practice!! Oh did I say practice. Remember I am there to show you and help you learn but it’s your job to practice to become the player you want to be. You have to learn how to walk before you run....

Thanks

Melody

Melody Stuart knows her stuff. I have taken lessons with many different people over the years but Ms. Melody outshines them all. If I dont understand something she can always find a way that works for me.
She can move seamlessly from a voice lesson, to a guitar or piano lesson. She can even get me ready for an audition. I love working with Melody Stuart.

    Frequently asked questions

Make sure this is what you/they want to do! Or give it a fair chance to try something new!! Im not just about the guitar there is piano too! One lesson Is not enough to know if you and the teacher will gel. And for a younger student they have to get used to the teacher. It takes 5 lessons to really know if this is what you/they really want to be doing. Also please remember new guitar players. Get yourself a decenst guitar or nylon string because your fingers are going to hurt you cannot get around that. With nylon strings is easier, acoustic strings they hurt your fingers but that’s guitar.  That is damage control on that. And if you do piano lessons you should get a 61 key keyboard with at least 3 octaves. They are perfect you do not need to go buy a real piano for piano lessons. You can find them on Amazon, Guitar Center etc.....

One more thing about guitars if the student is a child they do make smaller size guitars 1/2,3/4 and full size.

I do apologize but I do not provide any instruments for students. You must have one to practice on.

Rememer Always have fun because once it becomes a painful thats when its time to stop or take a break.

I went to Nassau Comm College back in the day when they called it that. I decided to continue my educaiton at Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, California. For TV Film, and study recording Engieering. Did you know you still have to take math and english.I loved it there and what I have learned there is pricelss. I have my own recording studio and I have produced/recorded  nurmerous artists. And still do to this day.

I have different prices for certain lessons and how long the lesson with be. I have been doing this for over 25 years and I do charge for my time and knowledge.

I started teaching in 1997 and owned my own music school from 2002 to 2011. Music has been in my background and in the front my whole life. My Father and mother both professional musicians. Then there is me.!

Students starting from age 4 up to age 99. Some with handicaps and higher levels of autism. All kinds of levels from total beginner to intermediate and then some .
