For me, a big piece of sticking with anything long-term is who I have guiding me. Ive certainly made progress with other trainers, but Andie is the first one Ive had that I actually feel cares about my well-being as a human being and then guides my development and progression within that context.
In the beginning, I was actually uncomfortable with how much she was reaching out and asking about how I was doing with both the nutrition plan and workout plan because it was something I hadnt experienced before. Especially in the beginning when she knew I was fumbling through a lot of the eating and lifting, she really wanted to make sure I felt okay as often as possible.
What helped then and what helps now is that she listens to my feedback and then helps me tweak here and there or helps me understand why I should stay the course when necessary. She doesnt give me a ton of information when less can be said and she doesnt give off an air of trying to sound more knowledgeable than me about something. Its all genuine and its all for the right reasons.
One of the biggest things shes given me is the roadmap to build a body Im starting to enjoy carrying around and a body I look forward to continuing to shape. And considering it only took four months for that to happen, albeit with me deviating from the eating and lifting from time to time throughout that process, thats really saying something.
