I love working one on one with students and helping them understand their work. I love seeing their eyes light up when they finally understand a concept that they had been working so hard to understand.
I love working with a variety of students and getting to know my students' likes and dislikes and their different personalities. I also love learning new things and being able to implement them to help my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask them about their classes and I give a pretest to see where they are. I ask them where they feel they need the most help and after giving a thorough assessment, I know where to start working with them.

I'm a certified teacher and an NTA certified tutor.

How did you get started teaching?
I also used to tutor my family members and neighbors and friends. It just grew from there.

I have a current student that was reading on a Kindergarten level and is now reading on a second grade level after 9 months of working with me.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask questions. Ask about their teaching style and how they measure results.

For tutoring: Style, if they give homework, do they contact the teachers, will you challenge me?
