Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Identify why they want to play guitar. Do they want to play Professionally or do they want to learn the basics and perform for friends? I believe reading music is essential to learn songs for the rest of your life.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as a Professional Road Musician, taught 45 guitar students every week, and arranged most of the music/shows for several years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Students that come to my home: $ 20.00 half hour, $ 35.00 hour.
Students that I drive to their location: $ 28. 00 half hour, $ 43.00 hour. My home zip code is 30127; if distane is more than 15 miles additional travel time charge will be discussed and agreed by both parties.
How did you get started teaching?
Most of our Band Members were also teaching in local stores and studios. I was approached and offered a full schedule to teach working around local and road performances. Many of our students enjoyed learning songs that we would play each week.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students from beginner, intermediate, to advanced in all age groups and ability. The challenge today is to find the opportunity for a student to perform and demonstrate what they have learned. A Performane Deadline can motivate learning and build confidence not only in music but life.
Students can learn Accoustic, Nylon String, Standard Electric and study jazz, blues, rock, and country.
