What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our teachers have degrees in music performance, music education or equivalent experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
All our lessons are based on the calendar month and include 4 lessons in the month. Our standard pricing for 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons are available on our website at https://www.jenningsmusic.com/private-lessons.htm.
How did you get started teaching?
We have over 25 instructors with a wide variety of backgrounds. You can view our teachers and their profiles at https://www.jenningsmusic.com/meet-our-teachers.htm .
What types of students have you worked with?
We have students in Piano, Guitar/Bass, Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin, Drums and all band and orchestra instruments.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have 2 recitals per year; one in May and one in December.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We recommend going to a music studio verses home lessons. This removes the student from familiar surroundings and distractions and allows them to focus on the lesson.
Keep in mind that lessons are not practice. The student should develop a practice schedule in between lessons in order to get the most out of the time with the instructor and to continue progress.
Also, recital is an important part of the musical journey; Choose a studio that offers recitals.
