Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

The first lesson involves a meet & greet, guitar care, and orientation of how the lessons work. A standard set of questions helps me gauge the student's musical experience, if any. If he/she has prior guitar experience, I ask to see a few chords, play a favorite song, etc.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

A typical lesson begins with the method book to work on sight reading & theory, then we move on to chord strumming, and we finish up with working on a song of the student's choice. Occasionally we'll take a lesson to talk about gear, or some other special topic.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

An ideal student is one who WANTS to learn!
