Bryan Vanderpool

I offer private music lessons in my home studio. I focus on the goals of each student, so lessons are crafted uniquely to you.

I write and perform in a folk duo with my wife called The Well Pennies (www.thewellpennies.com). Our original music has been featured on many TV shows including The Fosters, True Blood, Switched at Birth, Twisted, and Here & Now. We have played shows throughout the country, and most recently, opened for Diana Krall during her Turn Up the Quiet tour. We also own and operate a recording studio, Golden Bear Records (www.goldenbearrecords.com), in our home and have recorded and produced a variety of bands and artists.

Drums: I have been playing drumset and studying percussion for over 25 years. My training was primarily focused in jazz percussion and drumline, but I have also played in studio sessions and bands in many genres including rock, pop, folk, blues and musical theater.

Guitar: I have been playing guitar for 15 years. My favorite styles to play are roots/folk music and country and I especially like to play using different picking styles and patterns. My specialty is acoustic guitar, but I also play electric guitar and teach most genres including rock, blues, pop, and folk.
