About
This is not about hurting someone, this is about having enough courage to going into something that given its "brutal background" you are willing to understand what you are made of. Do you in fact have the discipline to learn something that may very well somewhat intimidate you? Are you willing to push yourself past your own limits?, or maybe you are just looking to get in shape without going to your local gym?
Only you can answer these questions!
For now let me give you a little information on myself. I have trained in Boxing/Mixed Martial Arts over the course of 7-8 years. I have trained mainly at gyms such as Chicago MMA/Victory MMA/Bessemer Park (Boxing gym) & currently Northside Boxing Gym. I love sharing my knowledge with those that are willing to learn. More importantly I love teaching the fundamentals, they are a huge part of making anyone a complete fighter (whether it's in the ring or in life).
I am currently studying for my ISSA certification to become a fully certified Personal Trainer.
If you wish to start your journey to understanding the fundamentals and even considering competing in the future, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
This may sound corny, however, I love helping people unlock their potential. I love seeing people develop a "new confidence" in themselves when they truly see what they are capable of.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start with something as simple as "footwork", "breathing", "body movement", simple jab/cross punches & most importantly protecting themselves at all times!
To the "avid fan" who is use to watching fights and even looking at the intense training sessions this might be boring, however it's the very thing that molds a new novice into an advanced "pugilist"
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained at various gyms (Northside Boxing Gym, Bessemer Park, Chicago MMA, & Victory MMA).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I have always been looking for a way to share my passion for combat sports (boxing) with those that have always been interested in learning for the sake of competing, bettering themselves, or if they are just looking for an alternative for their physical fitness.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly young adults (15/16-20) to adults/senior citizens (21+)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Four years ago I fought in a Kickboxing "smoker." I was a nervous wreck. My team, my girlfriend, and a crowd full of people I didn't know filled up this small gym that the event was being held at. I was the last fight of the night. Half of my team didn't win that night, the guy I went up against was 1-0, I was 0-0. I went in, I fought, and I won. There was no other feeling like it, not just because I won, because I dedicated myself to something & no matter how unsure I was of the outcome, I followed through!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
1) Is the instructor a "likable" person? I know it shouldn't honestly always be the first thing you should look for, however, a relationship of any kind always works better when two individuals can find "common ground" & get along.
2) Is the trainer knowledgeable about what they are teaching you? (Footwork, Body Movement, etc.) If the fundamentals are a challenge to your teacher, you already have a problem.
3) Has your Instructor fought or at least trained/sparred in gyms? (Do they/Have they practiced what they have preached)? It's always easier said than done!
4) Does your trainer care for your well being or is this just another "money grab"? Yes this is a business, however there's nothing wrong with having a "moral compass"!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1) Is this truly something you want to do, & if so why? Regardless of whether it is for fitness, self-defense, competing, self-esteem or all of the above, it's only a question you can answer.
2) If you wish to compete, are you willing to make sacrifices & have the discipline to train on days when you don't want to?
