About
Hi there! My name is Sam Genualdi, I've been teaching music for close to 10 years now and have a great passion for helping my students realize their musical dreams. I tailor my lessons to the skills and objectives of each individual student, with the goal of developing their own unique musical voice.
I have experience on many instruments and in many genres. I earned my Bachelor of Music Degree from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, and after have done a number of artist residencies pursuing my own creative work. This has included a year long fellowship to travel the globe studying musical traditions and a year long residency in the remote Cascade Mountains composing music for a non-profit organisation.
I love teaching because I always learn new things from my students as well. Learning music is a lifelong pursuit that helps us grow to become the best people we can be.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially I assess the skills of the student, their taste in music and their goals. Then I taylor a specific curriculum to the student. That may include repertoir, exercises, ear training, music theory, or anything else that will aid the student in becoming the best musician they can.
