About
Give a man a fish, and you feed him once. Teach a man to fish for himself, and you feed him for a lifetime. My style of guitar teaching focuses on awakening your inner musician, so that very soon you won't need me anymore, and you'll just learn the instrument by yourself with little to no help from others.
Music is the language of love. It is my honor to bring love into the world, one musician at a time

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Seeing where they're at as a person, and trying to understand where they want to go as a guitar player, and helping them get there by custom designing a TaylorMade teaching solution for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing guitar for 30 years, I played a numerous bands and recorded several different albums, and currently I'm a guitar player at the church. I can help you with your pop songs, your Christian songs, or your death metal songs, because I've done them all
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I used to deliver pizzas, and there was a kid that would be bullied by the other people that worked at the pizza place, I could tell that he had low self-esteem, and I felt sorry for him. I took him under my wing and started teaching the guitar. It totally changed his life, just as it totally changed mine
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly young high school kids, and some middle-aged men as well
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My church had a Christmas production, where we got to play Carol of the Bells from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, along with some other Tunes. Since I'm a heavy guitar player, it's nice to bring a heavy metal style to a church setting, and I find it challenging, because you have to be respectful to God and to the people that are worshipping there, but also be heavy for people that would normally not be interested in God and are more interested in banging their head. It was a total blast I had a lot of fun.
we really rocked the house
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The most important thing in learning to play music, is learning to love music. If you're doing it because your parents are forcing you to do it, you're not going to grow and it's not going to be a rewarding experience. The world has enough robots, don't be one of them.
If you fall in love with music, all you'll need is a gentle push, then the rest will come easily
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
That's up to you and what your personal goals are
