Mikky James Hunter's Rockstar Training Program
About
Hey, I'm Mikky James Hunter, and I love to play guitar. Do you know somebody who wants to learn the fundamentals of rock music? Are you yourself interested in learning the basics of the magical power of rock and roll? Give me a call, I will teach you how to melt faces in no time. I'm no classically trained Yngwie Malmsteen (although I still love those sweep picking arpeggios on Black Star, c'mon who doesn't?), but I can play some solos that will leave you wanting more. I come from a humble background (that means broke as a joke, for the laymen out there) but I DO know how to help people understand the basics of music theory and how to make your own decent sounding songs to impress whoever, whenever, with whatever is on your heart, your mind, and your soul. Make the call. Let's make your musical dreams reality. My guitar playing is my qualification, certification, and accomplishment. Rock and roll is very rewarding. :-) My computer is busted right now, so I don't have any SoundCloud links at the moment. When I do, I will post it up here

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Ask the student what goals they're trying to achieve by learning how to play guitar
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing electric and acoustic guitar for 11 years and I street perform whenever humanly possible, so the city of Chicago has pretty me much told me what are you doing here out on these streets
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 per Half hour
How did you get started teaching?
My friends all ask me to teach them guitar, then I ask them for money and they quickly change the topic
What types of students have you worked with?
I've taught a couple kids and some good friends of mine but the adults who take down my number don't take me seriously because I don't have a fancy sales pitch like a jerk. I used to work at adam Ash and even they wouldn't let me teach because they said I had to bring students there. I'm like, how am I supposed to teach if you guys don't have anybody interested in coming here for guitar lessons? That is totally not my problem
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Open Air rock festival in Bridgeview or something sounds incredible, but I don't have the money
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Just don't take life too seriously like most people, you'll end up becoming the thug that you hate
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What kind of music and style am I into? What inspires me the most to go play music? & What do I want to achieve with my future?
