About
From the day we opened in 1989 we have always hired the best educated teachers so that our students receive the best education possible. 28 years later that is still our mantra and we are going strong with over 25 college degreed teachers available to teach you Monday through Saturday.
We look forward to the diverse group of students that come to our studio every day while watching them progress in lessons. Our students vary in age from under 6 to those who have retired and are getting back into something they might have done so many years ago, or always wanted to but day to day life got in their way.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our process when a new student starts lessons with us is getting to learn about the students musical likes and dislikes as well as possible past lesson experience as well as what direction do they want to head. We then formulate a lesson plan, books to be used and then start into lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers have at a minimum, a Bachelors Degree in music, some of our teachers have their Masters or Doctorates degrees. In addition a large number of our instructors are performers in their area of expertise which brings even more to the lesson program.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing varies according to length of lesson. We work on a monthly autopay system using VISA/MasterCard.
How did you get started teaching?
Musical Expressions started in 1989. At that time, we had 2 studios and a waiting room. Since then, we have grown to a student base of over 300 students (from 4 years old, to mid-70s). Our current location houses 12 studios and 3 comfortable waiting areas. We currently employ over 25 teachers, and have a full time office staff on hand at all times to answer any questions or work with scheduling.
What types of students have you worked with?
Our studio has worked with students from 4 years old through upper 70s. All levels of proficiency from beginner through audition/performance prep.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire teachers with degrees in Music, who have practiced their art. The best teachers are the ones that have put the time into learning the process of teaching and sharing their musical experiences.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask what is their teaching philosophy. You want a teacher who can tailor each lesson towards your way of learning and what you want to learn; rock, jazz, classical, and everything in between...all while keeping it fun!
