I have a degree in Music from DePaul University, and international touring and recording experience with blues bands. Also, I have many years of experience performing in my local society band for weddings, benefits, club and festivals.
I enjoy teaching and coaching music loving students who are already familiar with their instrument, but are looking for insights and tips for more authentic Blues, Rock and Country performance.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
understanding the student's current abilities, and desires for further performance. Then, working out a game plan of exercises as well as songs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Music Composition from DePaul University, performance and recording with Chicago Blues stars, and performing in my own dance band.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We try out the first lesson, and can proceed at that rate or lock in a 6 lesson package for reduced pricing. Payment in cash is preferred.
How did you get started teaching?
At performances, people would approach and ask if I could teach them certain riffs, etc. We then started a study plan.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students who are already familiar with their instrument, but want to move to the next level.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Seeing the Rolling Stones perform in MetLife Stadium NJ with my son, who had never seen them before but just recently became a fan.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Comfort with the teacher's style of communication, making sure they are heading in their desired direction.
